Save Time on Your Calendar by Getting an Electric Scooter

You may have noticed people in towns and cities scooting around on these strange looking devices and wondered what they are. Well they are a reasonably recent invention and they are known as electric scooters. We say reasonably recent as they have been around for several years however they have only really taken off in the last 2 years and this is because a variety of reasons.

The first version of the electric scooter was a bulky looking, large version that had a large electric battery that powered it. Because of this big look and feel it was not an attractive looking device so they did not become popular and they were too big to be practical. As well as this they need to have a long life span and the batteries although larger than the more modern ones were not able to go a great distance. So all in all they were not that practical and they were never seen as an alternative to other forms of transport such as a bike or even the bus. But that all changed in 2017 when Xiaomi released the first cool looking and affordable electric scooter and that is the Xiaomi M365 scooter.

This electric scooter was the first of its kind that had a cool, attractive design as well as being practical. On a full charge the Xiaomi M365 can go 30kms in range which is an improvement on earlier models. It was also a reasonably affordable electric scooter when compared to previous models. By using this electric scooter you can cut out a huge amount of time sitting in traffic whether that be by bus, train or car as you can whiz past the traffic in the cycle lanes. This is especially useful for people who work in large busy towns and cities such as Dublin or London.

It is estimated that the average commuter sits in traffic for over 1 hour each day. By using an electric scooter you can cut that time in half and you would also be saving on transport costs. The Xiaomi M365 costs less than €0.01 to fully charge so it is very affordable. Comparing that with paying €3 -6 per day on public transport and it is a massive monthly saving. This combination of cutting down your commute time and saving money on public transport is making the Xiaomi M365 very attractive to commuters all over Europe and this is seen by the number of scooters on the streets.

So if you want to save time on your calendar whilst saving money then maybe the Xiaomi M365 electric scooter could be an option. Prices range from €400 – 500 so it is more affordable than a lot of bikes. Let us know what you think in the comments.
